This three and a half hour concert captures a lot about what has made him a legend all of these years.

Everything I love about shot-on-HD material is here. The incredible sense of depth, the almost photo-real clarity, the perfectly saturated colors -- it really does feel like you are sitting in the front row. Even in the shadows, detail is excellent and sharpness is superior. Finally, I spotted no obvious compression artifacts, blockiness or posterization.
How good? Read on. Video Elton 60 is presented in a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.
The image is very sharp and detailed; so much so that you can see the beads of sweat on his brow. The colour balance is very good, and definitely helped by the fantastic lighting. I saw little evidence of macroblocking, only evident on some of the flowing streamers and confetti released at the conclusion.
Overall, a very pleasing video transfer from a live event.

I did not detect any serious image deteriorations either. To sum it all up, Universal Music have done an excellent job with the Blu-ray release of Elton 60: Live at Madison Square Garden, and I am convinced that fans of the British singer will be thrilled with it. Note: This is a Region-Free disc. Therefore, you will be able to play it on your PS3 or SA regardless of your geographical location.
I opted for the English PCM 5. Similar to the video treatment, the audio treatment does not disappoint. The PCM 5. The bass is strong, the rear channels not overly active but very effective the crowd noise is under control , and the high frequencies not overdone. For the record, I did not detect any disturbing pops, cracks, or hissings.
